|I like trees - family and otherwise!|
I am a hobby genealogist/family historian from rural Victoria, Australia. I have a particular interest in the use of computers and technology in family history research and enjoy using the Internet, databases, mobile technology and various software to help with my family history research. I also like to research using primary documents in archives and family collections, when I have the opportunity. I have also recently become interested in genetic genealogy.
Are we related?
Please have a look at the surnames and locations from my family history. If we are related please contact me using one of the methods on my contact page. I look forward to hearing from you.
Why family history?
I have been interested in my family history since childhood but I have only been actively researching my family history since 2003. I am predominantly of Irish heritage, with some English and a little Welsh...and there are also a few mysteries to solve. I love the challenge and mystery of family history research.
Why this blog?
I decided to create this blog to share things related to my genealogy journey - stories, photographs, facts, ideas, tips, news, links, reviews, discoveries, successes and failures, brick walls and other genealogy bits and pieces. I hope that I can use this blog not only to further my own research, but also to help others in their research and converse with other genealogy enthusiasts. This is a personal blog and, at this time, I do not accept any form of advertising, sponsorship, or paid insertions. I am not employed by or affiliated with any companies. I write for my own purposes. For more information see Copyright and Terms.
Thanks for visiting my blog. God bless.
