I will expand my N is for Northumberland post at a later date, but until then, here are some of my favourite Northumberland genealogy links.
- Genuki - Northumberland
- Northumberland and Durham Family History Society
- North East Inheritance Database (pre-1858 probate records)
- Hugh Wallis' IGI Batch Numbers for Northumberland England
- FamilySearch.org have images for Durham Diocese Bishops Transcripts ca.1700-1900 among the historical record collections for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
- Northumberland is covered well by the free parish register transcripts at FreeREG
- Amble and District Genealogical and Historical Resources a great web site filled with history, memorial inscriptions, and photographs for the area around Amble, Northumberland (which includes Warkworth).

That's a handy list of links, thanks.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this list Aillin. I have ancestors from North Shields but haven't done much on them for a while. I love the Durham university site which is a new one to me! Isn't the additional info on the early 19th century baptisms/marriages just great.
ReplyDeleteI just found this post while looked at Genealogy Through the Alphabet posts at Gould Genealogy. I have Northumberland ancestors, too. I can't wait to check out some of your links to see if I can find out more about my family who lived there. Thanks!
