Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jill. I'd been thinking what I should do as a post for mothers day and remembered the interesting Chrome app I had recently looked at, Loupe, and thought that would be a good idea. I do like the way to turned out.
DeleteVery creative!
ReplyDeleteThanks Helen :)
DeleteOh, this is so so beautiful... made my heart smile, thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks Catherine :)
DeleteWhat a beautiful tribute, and certainly would look wonderful framed in your hall of memories. Very clever and absolutely wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Crissouli, I showed Mum before I posted it here on my blog, but, I think you're right I will have to print it out for her :)
DeleteWhat a fantastic collection - as well as showing all the wonderful mothers in your family, it's a great show of hair and hat fashions across the ages.
ReplyDeleteThanks Maria. They do have some great hats :)
DeleteI just thought I post a comment here about how I created this shape collage. First I made an album in Picasa, named it 'Mothers', searched for photographs of the mothers in my family tree and added them to that album, cropped the images in the album to show just the faces, uploaded the album to Picasa web albums. Opened Loupe (available as a app from Chrome here or at getLoupe.com, clicked on
ReplyDelete'get started', clicked on 'add photos', clicked on 'URL', input the URL for my Picasa Web Album, selected the photos I wanted to use, selected the heart shape and then Loupe created the collage and I downloaded a copy to my computer. If you click on the image I have linked it to the file in the Loupe gallery. I hope this is helpful, have fun creating :)
